A little about how we got here.

Art school, Jack Kerouac, traveling in a band, storytelling and psychology. These things mixed throughout my career and led me to UX and Product Design. I didn’t land here from an academic, research role. A fundamental curiosity of how art influences human behavior is my jam.
From here, human centered design, hackathons, and blockchain introduced me to international teams, strategy and innovation. Another form of creativity, I thrive in complex environments beckoning for an easy solution.

Method

Stay agile.

I don’t mean jump into the cult of agile methodology, but instead embrace new tools, new ideas, and get comfortable with throwing out the old. Look to technology that is adaptable, interoperable, and secure and build teams that are used to change. Your customers don’t expect you to stand still.

Development

NoCode / LoCode tools are changing how products are made.

Large dev teams dedicated to hand-rolled components and complex design-systems are incapable of moving at speeds necessary. New tools allow real rapid development without the slow, cumbersome pace of most sprints. Tools such as Webflow are allowing non-engineers to create complex user experiences and products.
As a true generalist, I have heavy experience contributing on the development side. Custom HTML, SCSS, React and homegrown design systems... to web3 full-stack development leads to better design.
NoCode/LoCode tools are also perfect for user testing, allowing teams to get important user feedback before committing to the build. Get your product into the hands of users faster and with live data and real code.

Ask me how I created a web3 user experience using NoCode/LoCode tools like Webflow.

Iterate

Innovation as a muscle.

Look, there’s a method to innovation. Like any other muscle in your body you need to use it or you lose it. Creating a culture of innovation should be encouraged and rewarded. Teams should have opportunities to try new things and stretch their muscles.

AI and ML

Leveraging AI to build better products

Don’t shy away from using tools such as ChatGPT and MidJourney. Understand they are made to help content creators create faster. The human element can not be replaced, but it can get better, faster, more unpredictable. Take advantage of technology before your competition does.

Ask me how I use AI in my designs instead of expensive, generic stock photography.

Development
